We rented cabin 1 and 2 from Thursday to Sunday. All of our children had a blast being outside in the water. The older kiddos took the canoe and kayaks down the river as far as they could and loved every minute of it. The smaller kids stayed on the floating dock from sun up to sun down. The cabins are at a great location, very tranquil and the scenery is beautiful. All of us hated to leave. Planning to coming back real soon. Mr. Al was a wonderful host. He answered all of our questions and very attentive. — Amy Carrasco, 07 Aug 2020
Seven of us women rented cabins 1 & 2 for two nights, but soon found out that was too short a stay. The cabins are high quality, and laid out in such cute fashion, very clean, and we felt like we were at an adult camp. We spent many hours in the convenience of the Guadalupe River, sitting on the upper deck, and feeding ducks at the lower level concrete structure. A short drive down River Road takes you to a low water crossing, where you may wade, splash around, or just marvel at the beauty. Kayaks and a canoe a readily available for use, and the friendly neighbors in cabins 3&4 were quick to share. There was a constant breeze and the area is very quiet and safe. We hope to return this fall and gain use of the fire pit! — Cristina Krobot, 15 Jul 2020
What a fabulous get away!!! Me and 16 of my friends from New Braunfels decided to get away from the constant Covid-19 epidemic updates, the rioting, looting, etc. and headed out of town to the beautiful outdoors in Centerpoint, TX. We were fortunate enough to rent all 4 cottages at Guadalupe Lazy Days and we all had a BLAST! The cottages will sleep up to 6...3 of the cottages had 4 adults and we had 5. The sleeping arrangements were great, the cottages are new and the Guadalupe river was very inviting and wonderful. There's a floating dock that the renters can take out to the middle of the river, so we packed up ice-chests, fun noodles, rafts and had such a great time relaxing, swimming, laughing and sipping on a few brews. This is a very peaceful part of the river and it's a great getaway in case you're needing one. We brought Cornhole boards which we played down by the water and up on the deck. It was a fun way to have a little competition when you weren't chillin' in the Guadalupe. We grilled hamburgers Friday night, went to Los Dos Amigos Restaurant in the morning for breakfast (I highly recommend the breakfast quesadillas, OMG!) and boogied over to Toucan Jim's Saturday evening for dinner, drinks and fun (this place is a tropical paradise with great food and adult have to check this place out!). So, bottom line is, this is a hidden treasure that I'm sure won't stay hidden for long. Grab a cottage while you can and enjoy this beautiful place.
